Key Dates for our Chapter in 2022 - 2023, 🥳 Happy 65th Anniversary!

This 2022 - 2023 season, marks the 65th anniversary of the establishment of Ikebana International Los Angeles Chapter #4. 65 years in human years typically marks retirement, but as a chapter we are only getting started. When we meet those who have retired, we congratulate them, saying, "Congratulations on your retirement!" I am delighted to be a care-taker and serve as president of this chapter during this momentous occasion. I am proud of each of our members and board members who have supported us annually. I look forward to celebrating our 65th anniversary with everyone at the coming New Year Luncheon Meeting. Please save-the-day January 8, 2023. We will need energy to prepare for it, and we would like to welcome anyone who would like to participate in the Organizing Committee. Volunteers can support us for as little as 5 minutes a month, we have a task for you. Email me to find out more.

Volunteers have been the foundation of this chapter since its founding and we continue to work hard to bring our ikebana community together. Without your support Ikebana International Los Angeles Chapter #4 would not be able to host our workshops, luncheons and the annual Katen. Thank you for helping to fulfil our mission, “Friendship through Flowers” for the next 65 years.

September Meeting & Demonstration

The first meeting in September is approaching and I am excited. We hope you like the new venue. As those of you who have been to the USC Pacific Asia Museum know how special it is. All the board members are delighted to be hosted by a great location, that’s not too big and near a freeway.
